Christmas holiday on a small island

What is it going to be this Christmas: two or three days spent with tha femily around the Christmas tree or few days spent far away from the city, on a small island?

Pro: 
  • you can get rid of the crowds in this period
  • shopping is not a full time job, nor a fight with other clients for the same products
  • if you go together with your partner and friends, Christmas holiday should be a huge success
  • the sound of carols will create a unique spirit of Christmas
  • the locals usually have interesting traditions in this period, so you could explore the area
  • it's a perfect option if you want to spend Christmas in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere; and island usually means warm water, a pleasant swim, so enjoy!
Con: 
  • if you are adduicted to the noise of the city, the nightlife in bars and clubs, then you might not like to spend your Christmas holiday on a small island
  • it might not be possible to enjoy a traditional Christmas meal, so if you don't like to improvise, don't choose a small island fo your Christmas holiday
  • if you choose a destinaion with locals who doesn't speak your language, this could cause serious frustrations
