Dream job across country or secure job near family...

I grew up as a dancer in the midwest and have loved dancing all of my life. I had always wanted to dance for Disney and made that dream a reality 6 months ago. I was excited when I was cast, but decided that I would give myself 6 months to live this dream as the pay is not very much. When I left to go to California, my job (in insurance - a job I'm not thrilled with, but it pays well) gave me a 6 month leave of absence.

Well, that 6 months is up and I'm trying to decide if I am ready to go back. I have to decide tonight and I'm SO scared. This is a life changing decision and I'm not sure what to do. I'm just hoping not to have regrets about whatever decision I make.

Pro:

If I stay in California...

  • I will be dancing which is what I love.
  • I have more opportunites to perform which is a passion
  • The weather is nice
  • Near the beach
  • Some friends I have met

If I move home to the midwest...

  • Be with my family
  • Be with my friends - including my boyfriend of over a year
  • Make 4 times as much money
  • Be able to attend weddings and events with Family/Friends
  • Afford to travel
  • Job security
  • Free rent (thank you Mom and Dad)
  • Not much of a budget
  • Health insurance
Con:

If I stay in California...

  • Away from family/friends/boyfriend
  • Tight budget without much room for adjusting
  • Living a minimal lifestyle
  • Make little money
  • Less friends here
  • Loneliness
  • Very little job security
  • Pay rent
  • Could get hurt
  • No health insurance (have to find some)

If I move home to the midwest...

  • Not as many opportunites to perform
  • Not living my dream
  • Less independence
  • May not be able to dance again professionally - due to getting older or not getting cast
