Homeschooling

There are children who could benefit more from a homeschooling. Is you child one of them? See the pro and con arguments.

Pro:
  • permanent contact with the teachers (the student, as well as the parents can communicate better with the teacher)
  • personalized education (the focus is on one child)
  • the student gets assistance easier
  • any problems in understanding a subject can be solved
  • it allows a permanent evaluation of the knowledge and an improved feed-back
  • parents don't have to worry about transport to school and lunch bag
  • a good solution for children with special needs
Con:
  • absence of the contact with children of the same age
  • potential problems in socializing with people; it's important for a child to learn manage problems on his own
  • the costs involved are higher
  • finding a suitable, qualified teacher can become quite hard
  • if the child can't get along with the teacher, home schooling will become undesired
  • it limits the number of potential friends and people to share opinions and ideas with
  • home schools can create a false self evaluation, in the absence of challenging environment
