Love over the Internet

Would you rather meet the person first and then find out more about he/she or would you prefer to fill the blanks first and if the person seems ok, meet her/him?

Love over the internet
Pro: 
  • it is easier to meet people over the Internet, mostly because you don't have to face the persons you talk with
  • because you can meet so many people, it's easier to find someone more likely to correspond to "your standards"
  • over the Internet, people tend to be more honest if they are really looking for a partner
  • you can "test" the person you are talking with by asking question that reveal what you are interested in
  • there are specialized websites that can help you meet a person with the same interests as yours
  • when you fall in love, it's much easier to say it online
  • if two people in love are apart one from each other for a period of time, the Internet is a real friend in need to maintain the "connection"
Con: 
  • it is always the risk of being lied because under the protection of anonymity people might say anything to make you admire then create a good impression
  • sometimes you need to say things in person
  • if the relationship is based on instant text messages and emails it is harder to "translate" the words and find out what he/she really meant
  • the power of a kiss can't be substituted by a hundred words
