Should I still keep trying?

Since being in college, I have met this boy. He is my ideal of a perfect boy. There is not a thing that he does that makes me not fall more in love with him. We started talking and instantly clicked. We both admitted to liking each other. But he did not want to be in a relationship. We hooked up. He slept over in my dorm twice. Week later, he is in a relationship with another girl that he has been hooking up with since me and him started talking. They broke up after dating for two weeks. He still flirts with me and wants to hang out with me, but yet tells me about all the girls he hooks up with. He knows i still like him.

-how he makes sure i am okay

-that he talks about hooking up with other girls to me

-that i may not be the only girl he is interested in
-i may never be more than a friend to him

-even though he says i'm his good friend, i feel that i'm not
-how he gives me mixed signals
-how i don't know what he wants

From the things you listed under Cons, he feels differently about you than you do about him. It sounds like you really like him and would like to have a fairly serious relationship. He seems to want shorter, more "fun" relationships. Him not wanting to talk about anything and never having time for you to me are especially significant. He is not looking for an emotional connection. He wants to hang out and be flirty, but at the same time makes sure you know all about the other girls he hooks up with. I'm guessing he tells you about them to make you jealous and get the idea of hooking up with him in your head. I know it stings, but even though he seems perfect I think you need to look for someone else.
