What to Do?

Trying to decide if better to quit working or to go part time or to stay full time

Pro:
  • Finish medical transcription program sooner
  • More time to focus on my school as well as free time if i quit completely
  • More time for college
  • More time to help with daddy as well as more time with john
  • Don't need to buy insurance for john
  • Will qualify for commodities if needed
  • Will qualify for healthcare for myself
Con:
  • May not get a job right away
  • Lack of funds
  • If i stay full time, no time for anyone including myself

Pro arguments

My life in general

My father has cancer, not terminal yet, but still very badly suffering. My son is only 2 and i am an active mom in his life, and feel that in general I am missing out because I am working full time. My husband has told me to make a decision, but not based on debt or desire but on practicallity. I am thinking of signing up for medical transcription training which would allow me to work from home and be able to have the flexibility i need to be able to stay SANE in my life and finish college in a timely manner. My job now doesnt pay much, but requires so much out of me each and every day due to higher internet costs, lack of time for the important things, lack of energy due to stress levels and finally lack of funds even with working. If i quit completely, then i have the time i need as well as the time to help with my father's condition as well as time with my son. If i continue to work, something will have to give..put off college again or forget about the medical transcription and put on my focus on a job that i dont want but need due to funds. We can barely make it if i quit and it would only be temporarily bc the program is 4 months full time if you only give a few hours a day, so honestly could be finished sooner. Need some opinions please..my heart and head are both saying do it..my husband is saying do it..my conscience and lack of trust in life in general is saying dont do it.
